This 21 km circumambulation of the sacred Govardhan hill — which Lord Krishna Himself lifted on His little finger to shelter the people of Braj from Indra’s wrath — is considered among the most spiritually powerful acts a devotee can perform.
Govardhan Parvat is not just a hill. According to the scriptures, the entire Govardhan mountain is the living, breathing form of Lord Krishna Himself — known as Giriraj ji. Circumambulating Govardhan is therefore equivalent to circumambulating Lord Krishna. Every stone, every tree, every inch of this 21 km parikrama path is divine.

💡 We offer all three options. Tell us your preference when booking and we plan the parikrama accordingly. For walking parikrama, we recommend starting no later than 6:00 AM to complete before the afternoon heat. Vehicle parikrama can be done at any time.

Arrive at Govardhan town. Begin with darshan at the sacred Mukharvind Mandir. Then visit Manasi Ganga — take parikrama of this sacred lake and visit the surrounding temples and ghats.
Daan Ghati Mandir 8:15 AM3 km
Visit the famous Daan Ghati Mandir where Krishna would playfully demand a toll from the gopis. One of the most joyful and celebrated leela sthals of the entire Govardhan Parikrama.
